Süleyman Eken received M.Sc. in Computer Science (2012) from Kocaeli University and now he is pursuing his PhD at the Kocaeli University under the supervision of Dr. Ahmet Sayar. Since 2010, he is a research assistant at Computer Engineering Department, Kocaeli University, Turkey.

He has co-authored around 50 papers. He has served as a reviewer for International Journal of Advanced Robotic Systems, The International Arab Journal of Information Technology, The Imaging Science Journal, International Journal of Distributed and Parallel Systems, International Journal of Distributed Systems and Technologies, International Journal of High Performance Computing and Networking. His main research work focuses on distributed systems, big data, big data math and algorithm, remote sensing, and spatial data and databases.
